You’re joining us in the middle of a sermon series about the Bible. If you’ve been here the past four weeks, I hope you’re rediscovering God’s Word and developing a hunger to read it and live in response to it.

From the beginning of the story, we find that God’s Word isn’t passive. It has an effect. God speaks. It is. That’s true in creation and in everything else.

God’s Word defines reality. God’s Word causes things to be. God’s Word assigns value. God’s Word gives us our identity and purpose. So don’t be surprised if God’s Word goes to work on you. I’m praying it does!
